Disinfection of the shopping center with dry fog – DEZIFOG®

CHALLENGES

The shopping center is open from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., disinfection is possible only at night, during non-working hours. Therefore, disinfection must be carried out in an extremely short time. Thousands of square meters of common rooms must be disinfected in less than 9 hours.

Conventional wet disinfection, where disinfectant liquid is sprayed, was ineffective and unacceptable, because the shopping center has thousands of square meters of glass showcases, on which liquid droplets would remain. A team of more than 8 people would be needed to disinfect all the common areas in time, because of this factor, disinfection would be extremely expensive. Common areas include open commercial areas with various types of goods that may be sensitive to moisture or disinfectants, in which case the manager of the shopping center or the company providing the disinfection service should take responsibility for the damage caused.

When disinfecting in a conventional way, an extremely large amount of aggressive disinfectants are spread, which harm surfaces and leave an unpleasant smell that needs more than 3-4 hours to air out, this is another reason why conventional disinfection was not suitable.

SOLUTION

The shopping center chose a dry fog disinfection system – DEZIFOG. Because of these reasons:

• Disinfection of the entire area took less than 2 hours.
• The cost of disinfection was significantly lower
• Vertical and horizontal surfaces are disinfected, so there is no possibility of human error

• Dry fog disinfection does not damage surfaces, electronics, fabrics, etc.
• This method of disinfection does not leave traces on surfaces, so no additional cleaning is required
• Disinfecting in this way does not require additional preparation.
